The spa here is great.
The spa is excellent - great treatment packages and very friendly staff. The locker rooms and treatment rooms are clean and spacious. The lounge areas are very comfortable. The overall resort setting is very pretty and relaxing.Better Lodging Elsewhere
For a Rock Resort, this was very disappointing from beginning to end. The reservation process was painful, the rooms were small, dark and in need of updating. The service was poor. The hotel does not live up to the cost or reputation of the Rock resort chain.Unrealized Potential
This resort is billed as one of the best in Santa Fe, but falls far short. The location is convenient to the center of Santa Fe, but that's where the good news ends. I have never heard so many complaints about rooms from other guests. The rooms are small, dark, and only a fraction of them have been recently renovated. Service is simply poor. Rock Resorts needs to implement remedial training of the Posada staff immediately, but the problem might be that the staff is hearing so many complaints that they have lost interest in providing quality service. The resort has great potential, but has a long way to go...Beautiful Grounds
La Posada was a beautiful resort. The Staff was very friendly and the service was great. We actually stayed an extra night because it was so nice. The spa treatments were a bit expensive but was very relaxing. The grounds were kept up especially since all the leaves were falling. I didn't mind paying the $14 valet fee, but the resort fee should just be added into the price of the room. I really didn't like knowing I had to pay a $15 Resort fee for each day.Just OK...
My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at La Posada. I'm not sure we would return... The grounds (6+ acres) were beautiful and it is in a great location (2 blocks from the Plaza). We found the room to be extremely small and not very luxurious. The service was marginal. We had to call several times during our stay to get things brought to the room - hair dryer, robe, towels (no clean ones provided during housekeeping visit one day), etc. The service at the restaurant was also spotty. The spa facility was very nice - both of us enjoyed an afternoon there.Needs work
During our stay at La Posada the front desk was exceptional, Fuego dining team was impecable, and the gounds were beautiful. Unexpectedly the valet service were some of the friendliest people and the most helpful as well. When making reservation make sure you ask for a single floor room so you don't have to listen to people walking above you. The rooms are not what the photos show on their website and are not kept as clean as you would expect from this level of cost and reputation. The housekeeping did not maintain excellence and left glasses out and had to be called for turn down service as well as forgot to clean one day until mentioned. The Spa team is wonderful and definately have a great team leader who encourages them to be fantastic to each person. If it were not for the front desk, valet's,spa, and Fuego team we would not consider going back. When I booked the trip I had mentioned not so favorable reviews and the person on the other end said they had no idea of those reviews. Please read your reviews La Posada so others may keep coming to your location with so many other resorts opening up.Good Luck.Worldwide > United States > Santa Fe, NM > Restaurants
