Great people and service.
I love their prime rib and blackened steak. Sometimes it takes a while for your food to come, but it is worth the wait. Their staff is always very nice.

Lone Star is a great place for steak. Their prices are good for what all you get. It's nice to see they still include salads with their steaks for no additional charge, unlike some of their competitor...

dirty, overcooked food
we went here for my husband's 26th birthday. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a Lone Star steak house. We loved the ones back in PA but this one just really dropped the ball. The food was all overcooked (ordered med. rare steaks got very very well done) and the service was awful. The floors and the tables were sticky with food from the people before us, and we didn't even have a large party (4 people). We have not been back and I would not reccomend this place to anyone wanting a good meal

Maybe that person is just stupid
I currently work there (and eat there very often) and I can tell you the food is hardly ever over cooked, and if it is, we will bring you out a new steak and don't mind doing so (all you have to do is ask). If the person with the problem had simply spoken up and said something about what she/he disliked, i am sure the problem would have gotten resolved, and her meal would have even been comped, or discounted. As for the tables or floors being sticky, i am sure that was just due to the day's use because everything is swept and wiped down at the end of the day. and again, if they had just mentioned that, we would have immediately fixed the problem. As for the poor service, there was one stupid girl that worked that for a while, but she got fired for being a poor server. As for almost everyone else who works there, either they are making it up, or it was just a busy night and sometimes when you've got 4 tables all asking for things at the same time, its impossible to be perfect.

Good 'n' Plenty!
If you're hungry, this is the place to go. Perfectly prepared steaks, impressive baked sweet potato, the best rice pilaf you'll ever have, and you have to try the Pecos Peach. Service is always excellent and friendly. Fun atmosphere and decor; great for families; outdoor dining available. $10 and up but you can't leave hungry!

We have eaten at LoneStar twice in the last two weeks. Both times service was friendly and food was great. Not a long wait either, that is a big plus for me.

Excellent steaks
I have NEVER had a bad steak at the Lonestar, however their ribs leave MUCH to be desired. Dry and lack flavor and sauce.. will not bother with them again, but it's the BEST place for steaks.. salads are great as well. Would be nice if the baked potatoes really came with *everything* as they as *everything on that??* and it only means sour cream and butter.. cheese and bacon cost you extra.. I have never seen a place charge for potato condiments before...

My family and I have eaten there twice and were very unimpressed with the food. After the first time, we waited a few months and decided to try it again. I don't expect we'll make a third trip.

INCONSIDERATE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and POOR QUALITY of FOOD
My boyfriends' last B-day present from his "now Deceased" brother, was a certificate for this place. We saved it for a special occasion and I was excited and expecting a good meal!! NOT.. We went in at 2:30 today 7-31-07. It was almost empty and of all the tables available the girl sat us right next to the kitchen door. I MEAN RIGHT NEXT TO. I took the liberty of asking for a different table. Then it took a while for the waitress to come over and the first thing she did was to plop down in the booth, YES SHE SAT RIGHT DOWN across from us and took out her pen. I found this tacky and unprofessional. I couldn't beleive it. I had to ask for napkins & cutlery and when my $10.00 Cob Salad came all the iceburg lettuce was discolored and brown, The lettuce is the reason I order salad how about you? It seemed as though the staff was too tired to care OR JUST PLAIN APATHETIC towards their customers. Their was also a celphane wrapper stuck to the inside of my tea. glass. This is odd because I never even got a straw.... I was EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED in this restaurant. Please SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!Worldwide > United States > Albuquerque, NM > Restaurants
