Rizwana Khokhar

Rizwana T. Khokhar, MD, FAAP, has practiced privately with Park Avenue Pediatrics in Verona, New Jersey, since 1992. Dr. Khokhar is an attending pediatrician at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. She is a clinical preceptor for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.<br />

Dr. Khokhar has been an associate attending pediatrician at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.<br />

Dr. Khokhar says, "My childhood dream was to become a caring and competent physician. My desire to establish long-term professional relationships and make a positive difference in the lives of my patients and their parents prompted my interest in community-based practice." She adds, "My goal is to educate and empower parents and children about their physical and emotional well-being. I guide my patients about preventive approaches and the best ways to heal from sickness. I also find it gratifying to care for children with complex medical problems. The most humbling reward is seeing children for whom I've cared return to our practice as parents."<br />

When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Khokhar enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling, reading, and volunteering her expertise to serve communities in the United States and abroad.
