We love what we do, and so will you. Alexander J. MacKenn Sr. started his landscape business in 1928. After getting a degree in Landscape Design & Horticulture, Alex Jr. started designing and running crews in 1962, and he and his father worked together for at least 20 busy years. Then the third generation came in. In 1990, Brad, now a Certified Landscape Architect, came on full time, and then Jodie started in 1992. The business truly is " a labor of love" for this family. Hometown Garden Place
We have worked with Brad and the folks at Glenwild Gardens for the 12 years that we have lived in Bloomingdale. They've done landscaping, drainage, and clean up projects for us and we have always been pleased with the work. Brad is responsive and pleasant to work with too. I've also attended one of the how-to classes that they hold occasionally and learned alot. Since they are often helping out the schools and town in various ways, I always make a point to go there for my gardening and landscape needs.
