I would recommend Bobs Home Repair. We had Bobs home repair replace a set of stairs, the entry way floor, our front door and frame. Bob came out and explained the job, was available via phone to answer questions and sent a knowledgable, very skilled person to complete the job. Our home is older and the job was difficult but Bob contracts very good people. We had the new subfloor put in, tile, the new set of stairs built, and a new door put in and we are very happy with the results. He only needed three days to finish the job and I was impressed with how well the work was done and how quickly. We would recommend Bobs to anyone needing home repairs. Five Stars.

I would not recommend using this company. We had Bob's Home Repair come in to do some bathroom repairs (Drywall, painting, tile replacement). When Bob came he seemed very knowledgeable about these types of repairs and what would need to be done. We were working with an insurance company so we did not hire him right away. When we did, he didn't come back out to discuss the job (How long it would take, types/colors of tile, color of paint, who buys these things...); he just sent his worker out. His worker came out and once again didn't discuss any of this; he just started tearing apart the bathroom. When I started asking questions he seemed to get agitated and argued with me. Any time I would discuss with him something that I thought was going to be done or needed to be done, he would state "That wasn't on the job contract that Bob gave him," saying that it might have been on mine but he is only doing what Bob put on the contract he did with him. It was like pulling teeth to get him to do anything and do it right. When he painted, there were streaks, runs and bubbles in the paint job; he blamed the paint (When I told him I wanted it fixed, he was able to use the same paint with no problems). When he put the tile in, the grout was messy and not cleared from on the tiles; he said the tiles were imperfect (they weren't; he cleared the mess and they were perfect). I told him what level I wanted things in the shower so water wouldn't get on the soap dish, he put them at a different level, and argued they couldn't be put where I wanted them. He put in 15 extra tiles that were not needed costing me extra money. He would show up late or not at all without notice. It took him from the beginning of April till the end of May to finish my bathroom (replacing the drywall on the ceiling, tearing out and replacing tile, shower base, priming and painting). I was without a toilet for a good portion of it, and had to call him to ask him to put it back in because he started another job while still doing ours, but left the toilet out without a need to. He cracked some of our floor tiles which we had to tell him about fixing or he wouldn't have (there is still one broken, but we can't prove he did it.) The seal on the shower door looked like it was slit (as if he slit it trying to get it out), but he said it was cracked so we had to order a new one before he could put the door in. Then when the job was "done" the shower door leaked and we had to call him out to fix it. He said he noticed a little area on the bottom that was still opened and wondered if that would cause a problem; it did! So he sealed it now and it doesn't leak anymore. In the end all is done, and I am just glad the job finished...but I would NEVER hire them again for any job.
