Great for organic food
Whole foods has a terrific selection of fresh, organic fruits and veggies. They offer a wide selection of specialty items and the prices are fairly reasonable. They have a terrific salad bar and bakery. The atmosphere is friendly and the clerks are courteous!

Huge store with long history
Used to be Wellspring, this market is huge and offers everything from nuts to soap to chemical-free ciggies and wine. The cooked foods are tasty and the servers are helpful. You can join the co-op for discounts.

Ah Whole Foods
I don't believe I've ever been to a Whole Foods I didn't like, but the one in Chapel Hill strikes me as superb. It's in a fine area, just off of Franklin St. away from the UNC campus, and it's pretty darned classy. The produce always looks beautiful and there are plenty of sales. The 365 store brand is frequently available for many food choices, and at times you can get better deals on wholesome organic foods than you can on their counterparts at bargain-oriented grocery stores.

Whole Foods Market is a place for those who care about what they eat and what they feed their children. The prices are as good as any other chain grocery store. Their clerks are kind and extremely helpful.

Whole Foods Market is better than it used to be!
I would give it 5 stars if the prices were as good as Trader Joe's. The remodeling was an excellent idea. The parking is a much needed improvement. All in all Whole Foods is a better alternative to Weaver Street, but I honestly preferred Earth Fare to them all. Such is life...Worldwide > United States > Chapel Hill, NC > Food
