Harbor Oaks is a huge disappointment. It is a business and does not care about the people who are there that need help. My sister was on her 4th suicide attempt when she was sent to Harbor Oaks. The Psychiatrist that treated her in the hospital specifically petitioned to have her stay for long term inpatient treatment. After being sent to Harbor Oaks they discharged her after 1 day with no explanation. Turns out her Medicaid was temporarily cancelled so they wanted her out. No one cared if she was still a danger to herself or others.
absolutely horible
Having your child in an inpatient facility is horible enough, but Harbor Oaks made it even more unbearable.. Medicate and sedate, and mentioned by an earlier post is exactly right. I called numerous times to talk to the doctor, who...Unacceptable
Disappointment is putting this mildly. I was told one thing, received another. The "intense therapy" was talking with a counselor for about 10 minutes a day. Group therapy was restricted on the topics discussed because ages involved were...Horrid, decrepit hellhole.
This place is horrible and should be shut down. I was a senior in high school attending the outpatient group therapy. As a 17-year old, I found it extremely inappropriate and ineffective to hold group therapy with ages ranging from 5...Heavy meds and out the door
Terrible. My 15 year old was limited because of the ages of inpatients. I was told one thing from the doctor. Then my daughter was put of medication and I was told she was bipolar. She has anxiety. All they do is heavy medication to...Sucide
I have nothing good to say about this hospital. When I was there a girl had hung her self. Why? Why was this girl even allowed to take it this far in a "SAFE ENVIORNMENT" sounds real safe doesn't it?\rNo place to treat mild mental disorders
This place is not the facility to take your loved one to treat any form of mild mental issues. I was taken to this facility, which was 60 miles away from my home, without knowing about its' background or programming. \rFormer Patient
I was an adolescent (17 year old) patient in Harbor Oaks during October of 2008. During my stay there I met with the psychiatrist, Dr. Curtis Longs, a grand total of two times. The first was to throw me into a quick Bipolar diagnosis...Do not trust this facility to treat mild mental disorders
