Couldn't be happier!

From the first time I spoke with my agent, I was impressed by the professionalism and respect shown in his demeanor. The entire transaction of getting my home lease took only THREE days! I felt very comfortable with the background check that was implemented by North Bloomfield Properties. I will not hestiate to refer this company to my friends and family. Thanks!

Got me a home QUICK!

We were so impressed with our agent and how fast we were approved and in the house of our dreams! He did a great job finding us a place to live and he was very knowledgable about the area! (we were from out of town) We really are happy!

Great Customer Service!

This company is very accommodating and very helpful! Whenever I have an issue, it is addressed very quickly. The maintenance department is top notch. I would recommend North Bloomfield Properties to all my friends and colleagues.

Unbelievably Poor Customer Service and Record Keeping

My husband and I have lived in a home managed by North Bloomfield Properties for two years now. Luckily for us, the owner cares about his property, or all of our complaints and concerns would have been ignored. We contacted the company many times to discuss concerns, many times we had to make multiple phone calls. Eventually the owner of our property would call us back to discuss the issue. My understanding of the agreement was that the management company, who is in state while the owner lives out of state, was to deal with concerns so they could be met immediately. After contacting the company and being ignored one too many times, we resorted to always calling the owner of the home. I am not sure how much he paid them to manage his property, but it was a definite waste of money.

Soon after moving in, my husband and I found out we were expecting a baby. We decided toward the end of my pregnancy that we would like to remain in our house until my husband's job here was complete - another two years. In the spring of 2008, we discussed signing a new lease for another two years. The agent representing our property drafted an lease with incorrect dates. We signed and returned the lease, which we take responsibility for not reading over it more carefully. The agent noticed the mistake and sent a new lease with the correct dates which we promptly signed and returned. In the summer of 2009 we were informed by the owner of our home that his copy of the lease stated we would be leaving at the end of the summer while we believed we would be living in this home for one more year. We contacted North Bloomfield to discuss the issue and were told that while they had a copy of the correct lease, they only had a blank copy (our signed one was not filed), and therefore, the lease would terminate in 2009. My husband called to speak with one of the office managers, Melissa, and was either put on hold for extended periods of time or told she was on a phone call that would keep her busy for a long period of time. My husband finally called once and Melissa accused him of harassing her because of the continued phone calls. All we were trying to do was figure out what to do since our world had been turned upside-down. When my husband asked to speak to her supervisor, he was told no. If we wanted any further contact with them, our lawyer would have to contact them.

We are now in search of a new home. Our one main requirement - that it not be managed by North Bloomfield Properties!

Customer Service Top Notch!

It has been almost a year since this company rented out my home, and I would like to let everyone know how happy we are. The leasing process was stressfree as has been the whole process. It is a relief knowing someone cares about both the owner and the leasee. Thank you.

Bad, Bad, Bad

This company was absolutely horrific in their ability to manage rental properties. They put an unemployed tennant into my very nice property. The tennant missed the first month's rent. They did not send out the 7 day notice for almost 1 1/2 months and then they did not follow through on the eviction, which took more than 4 months. By the time all was said and done I lost more than $5,000. because of the incompetence of this organization. If you list your propery with thes people prepare to be fleece royally. This organization is a joke. Al, the owner is a bigger joke and a liar.

Terrible Service

I have rented for 7 years and never once had a problem getting a deposit back until I worked with these folks. To be honest I would have rather stayed in a hotel and paid 2 times as much than go through what these folks have put me through. I hope all who read this decide to look into an alternative. Its just not worth the hassle you will without a doubt encounter if you work with North Bloomfield Properties.

Horrible Place to Rent From!!!

This place is so horrible!!! You never get any phone calls back, you will be promised anything you want but never recieve it! I have gotten some many bills from DTE and Consumers regarding bills that they have never paid! Stay away from this place!!!

NBP: The Definition of Unprofessional

Without getting into the facts of my own experience, I will submit that this office is as dysfuntional and unprofessional as it gets. It's "agents" are inept, do not return calls, and do not have your best interests in mind. I would never recommend this company to a person I want to remain friends with.

Unprofessional - As a homeowner, I was unsatisfied

As a homeowner everything appeared to start out great. They got the house rented, and signed a lease. Then they informed me that the tenants had 3 large dogs and smoked. They didn't take in any additional deposit. Their response was, "I thought you wanted this rented out quickly?â€ I did, just not at the detriment of my house.

Fast forward a few months, and the tenant stopped paying. NBP never filed a 7 day or quit. In fact, they never even filed a court date for eviction. They just kept letting the tenant live there.

Be aware the NBP keeps your first months rent as their payment. Then they hold pay you on the or about the 4th day of the proceeding month. So, if you rent your house Jan.1, they keep the first month. The tenant pays Feb 1, and you get your money on or about March 4th. This normally works out fine. But, they never let you know when the tenant stopped paying. So, it took me over a month to find out that the tenant was in arrears.

It's been 5 months since my tenant stopped paying. It's been 2 months since my tenant moved out. I have still not received my security deposit money nor my cleaning fee.

I thought maybe it was just me. But, my neighbor whom I referred to them is also having the same issues. Tenannt not paying, etc. One other thing to keep in mind is that they keep any late fees that might get paid, but as the homeowner you are responsible for all court costs. That is if you can ever get them to do that.

In my opinion, the money that you pay NBP monthly is nothing more than paying someone to go to the bank and cash a check, and write you another one. Be aware of the situation you are getting into.

Such fast service!

I had a Regular maintenance issue and it was fixed so quickly! It makes me feel good to know that if it was a real emargency that it would have been taken care of even faster than that!
