The Foyer has been home to Baton Rouge’s elite merchants and artists since April 2008. Prior to April 2008, Laura Rentrop Brignac, tried a number of professions ranging from restaurant management, painting children’s rooms for designers and a small tea and sandwich café located inside of Montage Marketplace, what is now, The Foyer. Laura was able to get to know the customers, merchants and artists and how the business worked, while she was operating her café in the rear of Montage. When the opportunity came up to purchase Montage, Laura didn’t hesitate!
