Samuel Alexander, MD

Dr. Samuel Alexander, MD is a board-certified OB/GYN practicing in Metairie, Louisiana. He provides a variety of services to his patients including laparoscopic surgeries, annual gynecological exams, gynecological ultrasounds, obstetrics, and treatments for pelvic pain, endometriosis, infertility, and interstitial cystitis.
He graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology and partook for one year in research for AIDS medication at IMREG prior to obtaining his medical degree at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. His internship and residency in OB/GYN followed at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. In addition to his master’s thesis, Dr. Alexander has many published articles in women's health care.
Dr. Alexander is a native New Orleanian, with over 25 years of experience in women's medical and surgical health care. Patients find Dr. Alexander to be knowledgeable and friendly. He takes pride in offering his patients the best possible service, ensuring he makes time to talk to them and answer all questions. His special interest in minimally invasive gynecology enables him to provide his patients with quicker recovery times and less risk of scarring.  Dr. Alexander has a reputation for making patients feel comfortable during all visits, ranging from annual checkups to pre-natal visits to delivery. He is confident and calm, providing high-quality services and care.
