Mind Meadow is a mental health practice in Fairfax, Virginia, where compassionate care intersects with innovative and effective therapies. 

Psychiatry and mental health therapist Tamara Elassal, LPC, NCC, built her practice to support each patient’s journey as they confront and conquer past trauma and other emotional and behavioral challenges that disrupt their lives.

The Mind Meadow team makes quality mental health care accessible by offering in-office and telemedicine appointments. Patients can also take advantage of the convenient online payment system. They welcome people aged 5 to 65 who need individual, group, family, or marriage counseling.

They specialize in many evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). They also connect with their youngest clients through play and sand tray therapy.

The Mind Meadow team also specializes in mindfulness meditation, teaching patients techniques that support relaxation, reduce stress, and allow them to live in the moment.

Tamara is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and national certified counselor (NCC) who has extensive experience and training in therapies for treating mental health disorders.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and then received a Master of Science in Counseling at Capella University. She completed her LPC residency at the National Counseling Group in Virginia.
