I have always had a passion for helping people, so I became a nurse. After 10 years of working in multiple different areas of nursing - I wasn’t fulfilling my mission to help people the way I knew I could. I quickly realized I had fallen into the trap of living to work, and not working to live. I was putting myself in danger as a psychiatric nurse working 14 hour shifts I was neglecting my family, my health and my happiness. I knew something needed to change and I needed to create the change.
