Alexander Markov, MD

Dr. Markov is board certified physician specializing in endocrinology. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and his fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Markov provides comprehensive endocrinology care for patients ages 18 and above. He evaluates and treats many conditions, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, obesity, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, metabolic syndrome and pituitary disorders.

Dr. Markov provides evidence-based medical care using the latest technology. He enjoys getting to know his patients, focusing on health education, communication and involving the patient in health care decisions and care plans.

Dr. Markov was born in Bulgaria, moved to St. Louis in 2000, and currently lives in the city. He enjoys taking his family on weekend adventures and exploring the beautiful city's parks, coffee shops and diverse food venues.
