Chad Hosemann, MD

Chad Hosemann, MD, CIME, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and board-certified independent medical examiner providing comprehensive orthopedic care to people of all ages in Flowood, Madison, Hazlehurst, Brookhaven, and Clinton, Mississippi.  

Dr. Hosemann was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, graduating Summa Cum Laude from The Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College.

After graduation, he enrolled at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, earning his doctorate in medicine. 

He then completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, plus a year of specialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopy, at The American Sports Medicine Institute (also in Birmingham). There, Dr. Hosemann trained under the renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews. He treated collegiate and professional athletes, honing his skills as a sports medicine specialist.

Dr. Hosemann takes a conservative approach to medicine. He meets with each patient one-on-one, making time to review and explain their imaging results and provide multiple personalized treatment options.

Whenever possible, Dr. Hosemann uses noninvasive or minimally invasive techniques. He regularly performs arthroscopic surgery, allowing quicker recovery times, less postoperative pain, and improved outcomes.

Dr. Hosemann believes the patient is always right. He treats various musculoskeletal problems but has special interests in shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders, as well as sports-related injuries.

In addition to being an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Hosemann serves as an independent medical examiner. He regularly completes independent medical evaluations and provides expert witness services.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Hosemann enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He’s a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson and loves getting outdoors to hike, camp, fish, and hunt. Dr. Hosemann’s other hobbies include golf, mountain biking, and travel. .
