After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Alcorn State University in Alcorn, Mississippi, Kendra completed her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MS-PMHNP) at the University of Nevada in Reno. She holds multiple board certifications with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is board-certified to practice nursing in California, Hawaii, and Tennessee. 

Born and raised in the South, Kendra saw firsthand how health care disparities affect individuals and communities. Her personal experiences motivated her to pursue a career in mental health. 

She has gained success as a mental health nurse practitioner because she’s comfortable with the daily challenges and the need to constantly change her approach to match individual experiences. This requires empathy and dedication to learning about her patients’ biological, psychological, and social difficulties.

When not conducting psychiatric evaluations, assessing her client’s needs, and providing care, Kendra spends her free time with her son and traveling.
