Our experience with Little Ones can be summed up by the excitement both of our children have each time we leave for school! Both of our children began at Little Ones in the ‘You and Me’ program and are now enrolled in the 2’s and 4’s class respectively. With four consecutive years of being a Little Ones family, we can’t say enough about how impressed we are with the school curriculum, staff and overall environment. Across the board, the teachers at Little Ones bring enthusiasm, creativity, dedication and warmth to the classroom. More importantly, they make the entire preschool experience FUN! Music, dancing, books, art projects, free play, etc – every day brings a new opportunity to explore, learn and develop social skills. As a parent of more cautious, introverted children (one of whom had speech development delays), we have really benefited from the personalized approach the teachers use with each student. In our experience, the teachers really observe each child and grow to know and understand them well. As a result, the teachers have been very attentive to – and respectful of - the individual needs of both of our kids. This high-level of engagement is also reflected in each of the touch points during the school year. From one-on-one calls and parent/teach conferences to the daily verbal updates and personalized hellos to every child at drop-off, I’ve always felt the staff has been highly invested in the success of my children.

I couldn’t be happier with Little Ones! As a parent it has exceeded my expectations of preschool. This is my son’s third year at Little Ones Preschool, and my daughter will be attending for three years starting in the fall. My son loves it so much and my daughter doesn’t understand why she can’t stay when we drop him off (she is too young). They are always excited when I say it’s time for school! All of the staff is loving and warm. Smiles all around. They take the extra time to get to know the children and their family. It is so nice to hear personal updates in person as well as their communication via phone, email, website. Their curriculum is a fun learning path for children. They are always doing new activities that teach the kids, and they make it extremely fun! It is amazing the things my son comes home and tells me he learned that day. I couldn’t be happier with the staff, school curriculum, and director. Thank you Little Ones for being the base of education for my children!

By winter break, we were singing a song at night about Little Ones to the tune of “Bingo” – and my son was saying “I want to go!” The director, Sheree, is an always present smiling face that ensures everything runs smoothly and the teachers are so warm and make things a lot of fun for everyone. The following is a letter that I wrote to the Director, Sheree, about a month after school started. My twin boys are in the two and a half year class: "I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank you and tell you how much of an amazing job you (and ALL of the staff at Little Ones, even the subs) have done with my boys. I really cannot express how fully amazed and blown away I am with what I have seen so far and my experience with you. The caring, the attention, the individual feedback at Little Ones is just so far superior to my past experiences with other preschools. I feel like it’s important for me to tell you how TRULY appreciative I feel for finding your program. I knew in the past that I wasn't getting everything I could be getting in a preschool program; I am so unbelievably happy and satisfied with my decision to come to Little Ones. I just want to say thank you a hundred times over for loving my boys, for taking care of them like I would, for all of the time, phones calls after drop off, feedback at pick up and for everything else to come."

Little Ones Nursery school has nurtured my two beautiful children. The atmosphere, the caring concern, the mindfulness for detail and genuine love for children is apparent at this school. The teachers care about their students, the director adores each and every child for who they are. Smiles abounding, it is the best school. There is not a concern or day that goes by that the teachers try new things, new ideas, constantly revamping, updating, keeping it alive and fresh for the kids. From the basics to exposing our children to broader topics, Little Ones is a leader in preschool education. I am so very blessed to have had my children loved, cared for and educated by this preschool.

As a parent of a Little's One graduate, as well as child who is currently attending Little Ones, I can say with confidence that our experience has been outstanding! Besides the fabulous educational experience they provide (my son was more than prepared for kindergarten), I believe that Little One's biggest strength is the family-like atmosphere that occurs naturally in this school. Each child is treated with love and respect. The dedication and personal investment by the teachers, as well as the director, is observed in all aspects of their job.

I have my second child enrolled in Little Ones, and have been at the school for 7 years now. My husband and I are both educators and we know that early childhood education is crucial to developing a life long learner! We chose Little Ones after researching all of our options. Not only do they have an outstanding curriculum, but all of the teachers are certified, not only in early childhood, but also in other specialty fields such as speech and occupational therapy. As important as credentials can be, nothing compares to the atmosphere in the classrooms at Little Ones! Children are loved beyond measure and there is a strong underlying theme of RESPECT! Our children are not only taught respect, but are allowed to be who they are. Parents are treated with respect and are true partners with the school in the education of their child. Communication home is beyond excellent--the service provided by this school is ABCD (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty!). Little Ones is certified by the NAEYC, not an easy certification, but well deserved!! I know my oldest is enjoying success in his upper elementary because of the great start he had at Little Ones!

We love Little Ones! I am currently sending my second child there, and I couldn't be happier! My daughter actually began as a 2-year-old at a different preschool, and we switched to Little Ones when she was 3. My only regret was we didn't switch her sooner! In addition to how much my daughter learned, the teachers are so loving that I felt they genuinely cared about her. I am writing this review to hopefully encourage others to send their children there. My son is currently there, and he is having such a wonderful experience! Everyday he greets me with the biggest smile, and he can't wait to tell me all about his day. Nothing melts my heart more.

Our Family relocated to the Chicago suburbs from the East Coast in the summer of 2010. I researched many preschools in the area. I was thrilled with our choice to send our daughter to Little Ones! The Director and Staff at Little Ones is FABULOUS and my daughter LOVES going to school everyday. She enjoys a variety of activities everyday and is building a solid foundation for entering kindergarten next Fall. The parent community at the school is also very welcoming and friendly! The school environment is always happy and creative!

I have sent all three of my children to Little Ones and wouldn't even consider anywhere else. We have had a child enrolled there for the last 6 years and each year has been special, unique, and enriching. Each and every teacher we have had was warm, caring, and most of all loved my children. The director, Sheree loves our children like they are her own and she does everything with quality in mind. My older children's Kindergarten teachers have even told me how well they prepare the children at Little Ones and I couldn't agree more. It truly is a wonderful place!

I initially enrolled there as I knew others who'd attended & recommended it. The school is phenomenal! My eldest, now in Kindergarten, is considered academically advanced and I feel it's in no small part due to the teachers & how well they prepared her. My kids & I love it! My kids adore their teachers and Director and enjoy every single day there. I'm very impressed with the level of attention, the curriculum and the staff. I wouldn't dream of sending my youngest anywhere else next year.

Little Ones Nursery School is an AMAZING place to send your children!! I have spent the past 6 years at Little Ones and between my two children I have gotten to know and experience the different styles and techniques of almost every teacher at Little Ones. Each teacher has made a positive impact on my children and formed strong foundations from which to build upon for the many formative years to come! You know from the minute you walk in that Sheree (the program's director) and each teacher you meet cares for your child in a way that is so genuine and comforting it is easy to see why everyone wants to send their child to Little Ones. If you don't believe me, just ask the current students and the tens of thousands of graduates!!!

Little Ones is an amazing place. Each day, my kids go in there with a smile on their faces because they are excited to be there and leave with an even bigger smile on their face because they had such a great day. They love the 1-room schoolhouse that is not too quiet and sterile like some other schools. The director and teachers care for their students as if they were their own children. They teach so much besides academics- my children have grown socially and emotionally because of the amazing staff at Little Ones. I could not be happier with my choice of preschool.

Avoid this Pre-school
When I first toured this pre-school and was unimpressed with the lay out. All of the ages are in one big room divided only by bookshelves. Makes for a very noisy day. We decided to go becouse we knew one of the teachers. BIG mistake! My...Worldwide > United States > Northbrook, IL > Schools
