David Herndon, DO completed his residency in Family Medicine at Largo Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Herndon received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine medical degree from A.T. Still University at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.
Dr. Herndon has a particular interest in geriatric medicine as well as sports medicine and is the primary care physician for Pasco Hernando Community College athletes. Dr. Herndon is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Herndon and his staff enjoy treating the entire family from children through grandparents. He believes in practicing evidence based medicine so he can provide his patients with the highest level of care using the most up-to-date information. He and his wife, Lindsay, have one son and live in Tarpon Springs. He also enjoys everything outdoors including fishing, soccer, and mountain climbing.
