In 1988, Blackpool Hoteliers Brian and Joan Oldroyd couldn't find a laundry service who could meet their high standards. They had an idea - and Blackpool Laundry was born.

​30 Years later Blackpool Laundry is still family owned and operated. We still deliver the same quality, reliability and flexibility for the hospitality and healthcare sectors.

​Recently the company has expanded giving 10,000 square feet in total and will invest further to meet environmental benchmarks.

The company gradually expanded with the acquisition of several guest houses and took on extra premises on the Moor Park Estate. The company built a reputation for quality and service and soon several larger customers had been acquired. By 1997 the company was in its fourth set of premises (Unit 6E), and had invested heavily in more industrial heavy duty equipment and full steam processing plant. Following this major expansion, the company branched further into linen hire for several local hotels.

The company became limited in 2000 and was soon running at full capacity and required further expansion. In 2001 adjacent premises units 6D and 6C were acquired giving a total area of 7500 square feet, the company invested again in extra machinery, virtually doubling capacity.
