Summit Psychology: Rebecca Branda, Psy.D.

Rebecca Branda, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist at Summit Psychology. Based in Santa Monica, California, and expanding her reach of care via telehealth, Dr. Branda’s approach is guided by her belief that every woman has the strength and ability to create meaningful change in her life. She helps women find their voice in spaces they often feel silenced and uses an integrative approach that focuses on building a strong, therapeutic relationship. 
Dr. Branda completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and was part of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. She finished both her Master of Psychology and Doctor of Psychology at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Branda trained at top-tier academic centers including The Family Institute at Northwestern University in Illinois, NYU-Bellevue Hospital Center, and the World Trade Center Clinic in New York. 
Using various evidence-based cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and well-established psychodynamic theories, Dr. Branda helps lead clients toward a deeper understanding of themselves and the world. Her specialties include women’s mental health, life transitions, personal and professional growth development, working with women in business and technology, those suffering from major depressive disorder and anxiety, survivors of trauma and PTSD, postpartum depression and anxiety, and couples therapy. 
Dr. Branda creates a safe and welcoming environment so her clients can share freely, and makes space for their personal and cultural experiences. Her clients find solace in her accepting and compassionate manner and leave empowered to go beyond themselves. She incorporates mindfulness and acceptance-based interventions in treatment to help them on their journey of exploring challenging relationship patterns in their lives, deepening self-awareness, and realizing change.
