Pedal Pub was founded in 2007 by two friends, Al Boyce and Eric Olson. After coming across a photo on Facebook of the Fietscafe® party bike in Amsterdam, Boyce and Olson saw an opportunity to bring the fun and unique tourism concept to the U.S. They partnered with Fietscafe®, the longest tenured manufacturer of the bikes, and brought the first Pedal Pub bike to Minneapolis in 2007. Today, the brand has 40 open and operating licensed locations, and aim to have 1,200 bikes rolling by 2023. The brand began franchising in April 2018 to aid its national growth efforts.
