Home Run Inn’s three Chicago pizza restaurants and six in the Chicagoland area give you plenty of places to try our authentic homemade pizza. Or enjoy our frozen pizza made with the same all-natural ingredients, homemade sauces and sausage without a single additive or preservative.
It’s how we’ve done it ever since we opened our original pizzeria on Chicago’s South Side. Consider it our family’s way of bringing our history home to your family.

excellent pizza
the best thin crust pizza in chicago. i have tried many others but this is by far the best thin crust.Best Family orientated atmosphere & food around
I've been going to Home Run Inn Pizza on 31st street since I was a little girl. My father would take us faithfully every Sunday before we would visit my grandparents. I've had many many many Home Run Inn pizzas and every single one that I've ever eaten has been the best around. Sure I've tried others, but nothing compares to Home Run Inn! They load on the toppings & use premium ingredients. You have to try their frozen pizza too, it's absolutely the best. The Perrino's Deep dish frozen pizza is high quality and taste great! Great customer service, all friendly people (maybe because they're a family run business). They care about everyone who patronizes their restaurant.Best Strawberry Daquiri's
I grew up eating and loving Home Run Inn's Pizza, I moved to Minneapolis, MN 16 years ago and resulted into eating Domino's or Pizza Hut which resulted in me making home made pizzas. Until recently I was told that Cub Foods grocery store sold frozen Home Run Inn pizzas, I was very happy. So now I can have it here in Minnesota and of course when I go back to Illinois to visit, we always have the original.THE GREATEST PIZZA IN CHICAGO
I'VE BEEN EATING THIS PIZZA FOR 35 YEARS NOTHING COMPARES TO IT! I HAVE SPENT OVER $10,000.00 ON HOME RUN INN'S PIZZA OVER THE YEARS.Kudos from Minnesota
I have never eaten in the actual restaurant, but my first choice in the frozen pizzas up here in Minnesota is Home Run Inn. Everyone that I have had try it is hooked. If ever in Chicago I'm sure to visit the restaurant.A great thin Pizza
This is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten and it was done to perfection, but I still have a hard time getting here because of the neighborhood is less than desirable.Generic, cookie cutter pizza. Nothing to do with Chicago Pizza. Located in a slum area
I recently went to Chicago on vacation and I am the type of person that does alot of research on a place before I go. I wanted to eat at the best places in Chicago and I used this site as reference. I decided to check this place out. First thing about this place is that it is in a seedyc slummy area. You definately don't want to venture in this area after night fall unless you have a death wish. Now on to the pizza. Bottom line, it is your average cookie cutter generic pizza. Nothing whatsoever that makes this pizza stand out from your supermarket deli pizza, Little Ceasars, Domino's, Pizza Hut, ect, ect. I have no idea how this got rated on citysearch. This was a huge let down. If you want Chicago Pizza, skip this off your list and do some more research.Crust so tender, it's like a cookie
The person who wrote the last review is NUTS!! Home Run Inn has the best pizza anywhere that I have tasted. I love it, and now that I no longer live in Chicago, I will have it whenever I return for a visit. The crust is the best! Forget all of thos excuses to consume thich, breadlike substances, this is thin crust so tender you can't believe it! The sauce is home made and fresh tasting, and the cheese is perfect! I'm originally from Philly, where I grew up eating wonderful thin crust. This is the closest I found in Chicago....Do yourself a favor....try it! You'll never go back!Used to be the best southside Pizza, Now it's just another Mexican knock-off
If you want the original Home Run Inn Pizza, go to 5300 south Archer Ave.. This resturaunt serves up the best hand tossed Pizza around and is what the 31st. street parlor used to be in its hey-day!test
sddddewfewf wwBEST PIZZA IN COUNTRY
I HAVE TRIED PIZZA FROM ALMOST EVERY STATE IN THE US AND NO PIZZA I HAVE TRIED STANDS UP TO THE CONSISTANCY AND GREAT TASTE OF HOME RUN INN.Take out a second mortgage to afford the pizza
Tastes just slightly better than their frozen pizza. So expensive I rarely go there. This one is in a bad neighborhood. Ones in Darien and garfield ridge are nicer but they rob you with their prices.Nice THIN CRUST
If your looking for a nice stop in ypour search for a good thin crust, try this one. Its preety darn good. even the freezer one isnt to bad! Try it with the pepperoni, its good and spicey! YUMMY!Best in Chicago
I truly believe this is the best tasting pizza in the wold! I too have tried pizza from various locations around the country and I always come back home to Home Run Inn.HORRIBLE PIZZA ! I FELT LIKE I WAS CHEWING ON RUBBER INSTEAD OF CHEESE
Everyone has different taste but I was shocked and really disappointed to find out that this was voted #1 in Chicago. I came to Chicago for the weekend. I was born and raised in New York and have had excellent pizza all over the country but when I tried a slice from Home Run Inn Pizza, I thought that I was eating pizza from Chuck E Cheese or Little Caesar except that theirs tastes better.Party Spot
Home Run Inn is the spot in Chicago for hanging out with friends and family, as well as hosting parties. Almost every time I go I am with a huge group for a girls get-together or a wedding rehearsal dinner. Whatever the occasion, the pizzeria can handle it all. Best to setup a reservation for big parties and on weekend evenings. Love the menu selection from types of pizza, to pasta, to chicken. Fits every mood, every appetite.qué guay

Even though this is the original location of Home Run Inn, their pizza no longer has the original taste. My family has been eating pizza from the 31st street location since the early sixties, but we finally gave up in June when we got our last pizza that had too much sauce, too little cheese, toppings that separated from the crust, and was overbaked. For the excellent original Home Run Inn pizza, go to the Archer location.best pizza ever
the bread is so soft, but the meat is still cooked all the way through, and the sauce oh the sauce is to die for, but don't forget the buttery crust.American Express
