Being able to ride a motorcycle is one of the most exhilarating and liberating skills that you can use on a daily basis. However, safety is absolutely vital, and quality training will give you the best chance of mastering the road.

At Alba Motorcycle Training Academy we take great pride in the courses that we have crafted through our experience and our commitment to achieving standards of perfection.

We go to great lengths to ensure that our courses are as accessible and effective as possible. Typically, we can promise a 2:1 student to instructor ratio ensuring that everyone has access to as much help and support as necessary.

All of our instructors are fully DVSA approved, and we will always tailor our training to you as an individual to give you the best chance at success. Our training facility is also perfectly suited for effective learning and exceeds the minimum size requirements outlined by the DVSA.

Once you book in with us you can be sure that everything else is taken care of; we provide the bike, fuel, all the necessary safety gear, as well as refreshments.

Our Courses
No matter what stage of training you are at, we offer a number of courses that will provide you with all of the skills you need to ride on the road safely and effectively:

Pre-CBT: This is perfect for anyone looking to get started on their journey towards riding a motorbike. Within our fenced off and dedicated training facility, you can learn how to control a motorbike while safely off the roads.

Compulsory Basic Training: CBT is training that you have to go through if you want to legally ride a motorbike or moped up to 125cc on the road. It allows you to ride safely with a learner plate for up to two years in order to practice for your full test.

CBT Rider Plus: With the CBT you learn to ride, but now it is time to ride to learn. This course means that you can ride better and safer with learner plates on your 125cc bike.

Advanced Rider: Learning to ride safely is the first step, but there is so much more to learn. Your advanced rider course will teach you how to get the most from your bike by riding more effectively while staying safe on the road.

Back to Biking: You will never totally forget how to ride a motorbike, but a refresher course is vital to ease you back in safely after a break. If you want to get back into biking, this is the course for you.
