Here at The Panel Man, we have been cleaning and maintaining residential and commercial solar panels in the Antelope Valley area since 2017. This business began after nearly a decade of installing and inspecting systems for major solar providers, having heard customers lied to and misinformed, it was clear what needed to change.
In some instances, customers were told, “Oh the rain will take care of it.” Other times solar companies would suggest spraying the panels with tapwater to clean things, but in areas with hard water (i.e. Dessert cities) they would leave behind or attract calcium deposits, a dirty/dusty film, and bird droppings.
If you wouldn’t spray a pressure washer on your $80,000 Ferrari or, “Let rain take care of it,” then don’t do it to your solar panels! We believe in holding solar companies accountable for the maintaining and cleaning of their systems regularly for maximum performance.
