BIOGRAPHY
Lydia A. White, M.D. is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in Sports Medicine. A native Middle Tennessean, Dr. White is a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati, and went on to complete her fellowship in Sports Medicine as the first female to be trained at the world-renowned Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She has served as the team physician for several high school and college sports programs, and treats athletes of all ages at TOA's Murfreesboro and Manchester locations.
Dr. White is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and she has attained the honor of the Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Citation for Women in Medicine. She has been invited to present her own research at several national conferences and has been published in many medical peer journals as well.
Outside of her work at TOA, Dr. White loves to travel globally and she has visited all 7 continents. She enjoys working on her family’s Tennessee farm as the fifth generation to raise horses and cattle there, and serves as a substitute church pianist in her hometown of Pelham, Tennessee.
