Debra O'Shea, Psy.D PLLC

Dr. O’Shea is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She provides Individual Therapy and Couples Counseling, working with both adolescent and adult populations. She has vast experience working with clients who have a wide range of Anxiety Disorders, including those relating to medical conditions, performance anxiety, and trauma. Dr. O’Shea uses insight work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other techniques to reduce the distress her clients are feeling.

Dr. O’Shea supports and motivates each client to help them continue forward, so they can gain confidence and build on their own accomplishments. She believes that everyone has the capacity to change and knows that you can improve your life, feel better and live the life you want. Dr. O’Shea is passionate about helping people progress in their lives, learning to focus on what is actually important to them as well as teaching strategies to decrease stress so they can begin to feel good again. She loves seeing her client’s change, grow and gain insight so they can reach their goals and desires.

Dr. O’Shea has been affiliated with New York University Langone Medical Center’s Concussion Center and Rusk Rehabilitation as a Senior Psychologist. She also worked for the Northwell Health System in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department as a Neuropsychologist.
