Kenneth Larson, MD

Andrew Larson, MD, is a board certified general surgeon specializing in general surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery and bariatric surgery. He earned his bachelor?s Degree at Cornell University and his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his surgical residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, receiving his post graduate medical education at several prestigious hospitals including Pennsylvania Hospital, our nation?s first hospital, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Newark-Beth Israel Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center and the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Dr. Larson has authored 4 best-selling books, published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and presented research at national conferences. He is a member of the American Medical Association, The American College of Surgeons, The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity. Closer to home, he represents our area?s young physicians as a member of the Palm Beach County Medical Society board and serves on JFK Medical Center Infection Control Committee.
Dr. Larson performed more laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding surgeries than any other bariatric surgeon in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. He also performs laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic revision of previous weight loss surgery procedures.
