Dr. Ted Johnson, D.C. Doctor of Chiropractic I suspected that something was wrong when I felt that little "twinge" in my back as I was bent forward picking up small pieces of wood and tossing them into the scrap pile. Little did I know that a couple of hours later I would be lying flat on the floor, unable to move, waiting for my very first chiropractic visit to be a house call! My decision to call a chiropractor was motivated in large part by the fact that I had previously had back surgery. I knew that if there was an option that might enable me to avoid hospitalization, surgery and a lengthy recovery process I was willing to give it a try. I was able to move well enough the next day to make it to the chiropractor's office. I felt so much better after a brief series of visits that I decided to change careers and attend chiropractic college. Back to school to pick up the science credits that had not been a part of my prior degree (with a major in philosophy and theology). Then, the five years at National College of Chiropractic (now National University of Health Sciences). Graduation, and then the real learning began and continues to this very day. There has been, and continues to be, a wealth of new information about what the chiropractic adjustment actually does and the best ways to administer that procedure. It is challenging and exciting to keep abreast of this new information and seek to incorporate the best advances into my practice
