The Rice Box

The Rice Box is Modern American Chinese Cuisine.

Originating in Houston in 2011. The Rice Box planted its roots on a corner in The Montrose district where it has had the privilege of serving reinvented Chinese classics weekly ever since.

While opening the second truck in 2013 to operate at a local University, there was a reawakening of Chinese food happening; it was the right time to open our first permanent location and bring everyone delicious, elevated American Chinese take-out classics like General Tso, Sesame, Sweet Sour and Kung Pao Chicken our way, ALL the time, in any weather, every day!
