Dennis Drilling Company

Dennis Drilling Company was founded in Carrizo Springs Texas in 1983 by Larry Dennis. When Larry decided to start his own company, providing drilling services,he got a small loan from the bank and built a self-made truck mounted drilling rig. Dennis Water Well Service was the name of the business at that time.

Over the next few years the company started making a name for itself as being the go to drilling company in this area of Texas for any new water drilling, well construction or old water well repair. Work was well enough and Larry purchased a rig and sold the rig that he had built. It was not long until the company was working with a heavy enough workload that it had to acquire a second rig.

A few more years passed by and the name was changed to Dennis Drilling Company. Dennis Drilling started doing larger irrigation wells around 1995 after purchasing a large drilling rig. Things seemed to be going good for Larry until disaster struck. In 2003 outside of Hondo, Texas, Dennis Drillings big rig hit a pocket of gas and caught on fire. Three men were injured in the accident. It was a dark time for the company, but all three men made a full recovery. One of which actually still working for Dennis Drilling to this day.

Around 2009 an oil boom started moving into the area around Carrizo Springs and a few of the big oil drilling companies started using Dennis Drilling services. Some of these companies include Anadarko Petroleum, Laredo Energy, Rosetta Resources, just to name a few.

Now, with the help of Larry's son, son in-law, daughter and a team of family and friends Dennis Drilling has a wide range of equipment including a Gardner Denver 15w, 2 Gardner Denver 2500s and 2 custom made 4000' + drilling rigs and a working area covering most of south Texas.
