Rayné is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Texas Woman’s University and earned her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is the founder and owner of Let It Rain Psychotherapy and established her practice while serving as Program Director for Resolana, a program of Volunteers of America. Among many other responsibilities at VOA, she established a dialectical behavior skills group for incarcerated women in Dallas County Jail (Lew Sterrett) who struggled with addictions and unresolved trauma from childhood abuse and/or relationship violence. She also added faith-based programming, grief support, and supervised social work and criminal justice student interns.
Rayné worked as a program therapist in a behavioral health facility for children/teens and their families. She helped kids and teens who struggled with severe depression, anxiety and other severe mood problems and behavior issues including drug addiction, issues related to being adopted (attachment disorders) and self-injury. She used a combination of psychotherapeutic interventions to help families and kids/teens mend their relationships including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. She relished the opportunity to witness the transformation in many kids/teens and their families.
Rayné also worked in hospice and in geriatrics helping individuals, families, and loved ones cope with end-of-life issues. She serves on TWU's professional Advisory Council.
At Let It Rain Psychotherapy, Rayné offers therapy for individuals, couples, families and teens who have mood, addiction, and/or relationship problems.
