Dean Provence at Shankle Real Estate

I have been a resident of, or had ties with, the Monterey Peninsula since my family moved here in 1969.
I have been a Realtor since 1982; proud of the many transactions I have made in helping people become successful homeowners and contributors to the community.

I attended Walter Colton Junior High School, and Monterey High School, where I was involved in football, wrestling and gymnastics. I joined the Fellowship of Christian Athletes through Coach Ken White, and, at the urging of Coach Dan Albert, I ran for and was elected Student Body President of Monterey High School my senior year. So I have been the beneficiary of tutelage by two legendary coaches who went on to become mayors of Carmel (White) and Monterey (Albert). I received an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management from Monterey Peninsula College, and studied business at California State University, Sacramento. In 1982, I got my real estate license in a time of 17 percent interest rates, but I survived and became assistant manager of a 50-person office in my third year. I was in charge of training. Then I moved back to the Peninsula in 1997 after my father died and my mother, Marlene, asked me to join her at Shankle Real Estate in Monterey.

I am dedicated to my clients. I have experience that will help my clients achieve their Real Estate goals. I am involved in my community and the real estate community. I have seved as president of Monterey County Association of Realtor and serve as a director for the California Association of Realtors. I seve on the local government relations commitee to stay informed of local issues.

I have 6 kids and 11 grandkids, enjoy a round of golf now and then but mostly work on behalf of my clients.
