Welcome! Dr. Jane Lock, chiropractor, clinical nutrition, and stress specialist of Lock Chiropractic & Natural Healing Center in Collegeville, PA, believes that within our Center, you will find a place where you can heal, grow, and thrive!
Our mission is to serve the community, in terms of chiropractic, nutrition, and stress management, as well as being an educational resource for those who are wanting to learn how to improve their quality of life. We offer care that is individualized to each patient and tailored to their unique needs and situation.
Our belief is that the body is an intelligent creation, having an innate intelligence that purposefully responds to environmental stress—physical, chemical, emotional—by using symptoms to regain balance and homeostasis. By looking at symptoms as an intelligent response to stress, as opposed to something wrong that must be suppressed or eliminated, we have a way of delving deeper into the question, “Why is this person sick, or in pain, or depressed, or …?´ Respecting the “language of symptoms” begins the healing conversation.
We know, too, that the body is more than the sum of its parts. By looking at just one part, or analyzing just one symptom, leaves you blind to the larger picture. The interrelationship between every cell and system of the body gives clues to the health of the whole, in particular, the health of that individual. We do not have “one size fits all” bodies. Each of us is unique. Our care should be tailored to that unique individuality.
Finally, we acknowledge the dynamic quality of life. Moment to moment we are bombarded with stressors, good and bad, and our ability to adapt to those stressors in a healthy way also changes moment to moment.  Staying ahead of those stressors is a prevention lifestyle, and one that puts more LIFE in life.
