As a leader in the latest orthopedic treatments and repairs, Oke A. Anakwenze, MD, has helped many patients get back to 100% after an injury. His San Diego practice, Olympus Orthopedic Medical Group, provides southern California residents with the most modern diagnostic and treatment options available. The office gladly accepts new patients from the surrounding towns of North County, La Jolla, Mission Valley, Chula Vista, and La Mesa, California.
Dr. Anakwenze, whose staff and patients call him “Dr. A,” excelled in his undergraduate studies at the University of California Davis. He was one of only a handful of candidates who was awarded a place in medical school at Mayo Clinic’s prestigious College of Medicine. It was there that Dr. Anakwenze found his passion for orthopedics. He went through his residency at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his fellowship at Columbia University.
Because Dr. Anakwenze is highly regarded for helping athletes recover from injuries, he spends an extensive amount of time continuing his education in the orthopedic field of medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a Candidate Member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
When Dr. Anakwenze isn’t busy treating patients in the office, he volunteers as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Anakwenze is also the head team physician for the San Diego Albions professional soccer league.
Patients of all ages with various types of orthopedic injuries and conditions are welcome at Olympus Orthopedic Medical Group. Dr. Anakwenze is currently accepting new patients in the San Diego area.
