Possibly takes advantage of elderly people.My mother had bought a outside condenser from him that was a little larger than the one she had. She had them install the old one at a rent house she owned.Which he said it would work on that system.The smaller unit was working fine on her house it just ran all the time that is why she wanted a larger unit.When taking the smaller unit out he said that he pulled all the freon so it should be full and no extra charges.When he got to rent house to install he said that the system must have a leak because it was dry all the freon leaked out. (THE SYSTEM WAS NOT LEAKING BEFORE.) He charged her another $285. Less than a week later the outside condenser started making a noise that sounded like bearings going out in motor he said that it was possibly something else so he replaced that and did not check the motor plus it was freezing up.(said it was low on freon) Well the out side unit still sounds like bearings going out.It does cool the house but it is a matter of time before something goes wrong. Meanwhile unit at rental freezing up.Called him and ask him if he could go and clean the A-COIL etc he said yes be there tomorrow.He never showed up.This happened several times.We called someone else and we found out that the outside condenser is too big for that system.That explains why he did not show up.Meanwhile my mother passed away and going through check book I have found 4 checks made out to AirTech.My opinion should of been no more than 2 checks one for unit ,one for the install of both units.or unit and installs on one check.Anyway not sure what the last 2 checks were for.
