Joya Studio

Joya is a fragrance and product design studio founded by Frederick Bouchardy in New York City. Since 2006, Joya has developed and produced distinctive scented artifacts with an ethos of balance and beauty: Simple, locally-sourced raw materials, sustainable packaging and design, ethical production practices. A perfumer's full palette is used to paint an indelible image on the senses. Fragrances blend natural essential oils and aromas that synthesize molecules found in nature. The essence of living flowers, plants and herbs is captured at their most vivid. The company opens its new studio doors to the public, offering a look behind the scenes at a unique industrial perfumery in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Here, ancient arts and contemporary technologies inhabit the same space. Perfumes, scented candles and lifestyle items are crafted in-house from beginning to end. Tours and bespoke scent workshops are available upon request. Joya collaborates across myriad creative disciplines to form a singular vision with a shared spirit. Diverse works emerge in various guises under our own name, in collaboration with artisans and commissioned by emerging and established artists worldwide. These works reward the passion for discovery with fascinating challenges and exquisite delights.
