Base Backpackers Auckland

Base Backpackers Auckland is located in the heart of the city, central to the shops, cafes, museums and the Sky Tower. It's only a few minutes' walk to the train, bus and ferry terminals, and to Vector Arena. The airport bus (Airbus) stops right outside our door!

Our quality hostel offers comfy beds in a clean, modern and secure environment. Our rooms range from private en-suite doubles to small and large dorms. Our facilities include 24-hour reception, patrolled security, swipe card access, a high-speed wireless internet cafe, a large modern kitchen with communal area and laundry, luggage storage, TV lounge, and travel centres. We are also home to Habana Joe's, Darby Bar and Hello Sunshine , all featuring nightly entertainment and theme nights!

All rooms have fully made-up beds with hotel-quality linen for free, including a pillow and duvet. There's under-bed lockers in the multi-share rooms and we also offer the Base Sanctuary wing - rooms for girls only.
