Caritas Childcare

My name is Esme Munoz and I am the owner of Caritas Childcare. I was born in Nochistlan, Zacatecas, a little small town in Mexico. I grew up in a household of 11 siblings, which is where I found a calling to care for others. As I grew older, I was inspired to be a nurse, especially after caring for my father who was diagnosed of prostate cancer. I decided to make the move to California to be able to receive the best education regarding the career I wanted. I didn’t know how to speak English, but to my surprise, I adapted quickly. While I was studying, I also started my family. I have three beautiful daughters, which ages average from 10 to 16 who are the most creative, athletic, strong girls you will ever meet.

So after years of study, I finally graduated in 2001 and became a nursing aide. I started working in Kaiser Permanente and was soon recognized for my compassion and other skills. After caring for others as a nurse and as a mother, I grew a new desire to expand to childcare. With the support of my family and friends, I decided to invest into a Family Childcare, which I am now licensed with the State of California.

A little bit more about me is that I am an avid gardener and I like to eat what I grow in my garden. I love music and spend some of my free time playing the piano and guitar. These are some qualities that I provide to the children I have the opportunity to work with. My childcare is family base and it’s main focus is to have fun, while being able to teach the tools that I have gained through out my life journey.
