Kahuku Farms started as a partnership between the Matsuda and Fukuyama families. To supply local customers with a vast range of fresh vegetables and fruits, the two families combined their respective farms into one collaborative effort. With the love of agriculture deeply rooted in both families, they felt compelled to create a way to diversify and share the wonders of farming with friends and family. With an ambitious plan to educate, share and offer hands-on experiences to create a deeper appreciation for agriculture, the families opened their gates to the public in 2010.

When they started farming together, they never dreamed that someday their tractors would be pulling wagons full of people instead of watermelons. Since then, their children have championed the task of running and developing Kahuku Farms as a North Shore destination and a place of gathering for the community.
