The doctors at Facial Pain Associates of NY and CT are highly skilled in the treatment of TMJ, lock jaw, snoring, and trigeminal neuralgia. They also offer services such as acupuncture and BOTOX® for pain. Dr. Chandwani and Dr. Bakhtiari bring their collective experience in the treatment of facial pain to patients throughout New York, NY and Connecticut. Facial Pain Associates is now accepting new patients at both offices in NYC and Norwalk, CT. Patients have been known to travel to our two office locations from throughout the New York and Connecticut areas including NYC, Westchester County in New York, and Stamford, Westport, Greenwich, Darien, Fairfield, and New Canaan in Fairfield County of Connecticut. 
 
Dr. Brijesh Chandwani
Dr. Chandwani underwent his dental training (DMD) at Tufts University in Boston, where he also did his postgraduate fellowship training in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Sleep Apnea. He completed his Acupuncture training from Harvard Medical School, Boston.  He has authored many publications and has presented at National conferences on Headaches and Bruxism, also referred to as "teeth grinding". Dr. Chandwani currently holds an academic position as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at Tufts University, Boston. His clinical focus is the management of headaches, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ disorders) and Sleep Apnea.  He incorporates mainly physical medicine approaches to managing these problems including acupuncture, trigger point needling, and stretching.
 
Dr. Nojan Bakhtiari
Dr. Bakhtiari is a board-eligible orofacial pain expert whose practice focuses on the treatment of TMJ disorders, facial pain, headaches, and sleep disorders. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and serves as faculty and course director at Yale New Haven. He has lectured at conferences, residency programs, and dental organizations throughout NY and CT (including New York Methodist Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center, Jamaica Hospital, NYSDA Resident Night, New England Dental Society). As part of his training, Dr. Bakhtiari had medical rotations with otolaryngology (ENT), neurology, radiology, rheumatology, pulmonology, and physical therapy.
