Why Dr. Ross?
Growing up the East San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Ross is excited to be back home to serve his community. Dr. Ross is committed to providing excellent evidence-based care with compassion. It is his goal to promote the health of his patients through education and by providing innovative and high-quality health care. Dr. Ross also seeks to create a comfortable atmosphere where the relationship between doctor and patients is one of partnership and open dialogue.
Dr. Ross speaks fluent Spanish and English and is proud to provide comfort and care to all in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Training and Experience
From July 2014 to June 2015 Dr. Ross trained as a Fellow and Junior Attending Urologist in San Antonio, TX with the group Urology San Antonio. His training emphasis was in the following areas of Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery: Robotic and Laparoscopic Kidney, Adrenal, Bladder and Prostate Surgery. While Urology San Antonio possesses many accomplished Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgeons, the practice also has Fellowship-Trained Urologists in nearly every subspecialty niche of Urology including Female, Reconstruction, Infertility, Oncology (Open and Minimally Invasive), Sexual Medicine and Prosthetics, and Kidney Stones. Dr. Ross treated his patients in a weekly clinic and took an attending call as well. This Fellowship offered Dr. Ross the opportunity to hone his surgical skills and manage disease processes in a wide variety of Urologic disciplines with the prospect of becoming an expert in Laparoscopic and Robotic Urologic Surgery.
In July 2014, Dr. Ross successfully completed his Residency Training at Albert EinsteinMedical Center, Philadelphia, PA. In 2014, Dr. Ross was named "Resident Robotic Surgeon of the Year." His program was based in the inner city of Philadelphia, PA and the diversity of his patient population prepared him to manage a broad variety of Urologic Diseases. While boasting Fellowship-Trained Urologists in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, as well Genitourinary Trauma and Reconstruction, the skills he obtained in these subspecialties will greatly influence his General Urology practice. After spending several months at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Dr. Ross was able to work with some of the world’s top Urologic Oncologists and Pediatric Urologists and learn from their research and experience. His training has endowed him excellent clinical management skills of a wide array of Urologic pathologic processes including Interstitial Cystitis, Infection, Oncology, Stone Disease, Voiding Dysfunction and Urodynamics, Erectile Dysfunction, Andrology and Reproductive Health, and Renal Transplantation. Dr. Ross has also received excellent surgical training in the following Urologic genres: Minimally Invasive techniques including Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, Female Urology, Trauma and Reconstruction, Urethral Reconstruction, Erectile Dysfunction and Prosthetics, and extensive Endoscopic Management of Urologic Cancer, BPH, Strictures, and Stone Disease. In all of these experiences, Dr. Ross' colleagues and instructors found him to be technically skilled, conscientious, knowledgeable and reliable in his approach to practicing Urology. Dr. Ross completed his Medical School training at Midwestern University (Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Chicago, IL in May 2009.
