AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists began operation in March 2000 when owner, Ben Bayless, Jr. began working from his home’s garage. Bayless saw opportunity to grow in an underserved market across North Alabama and launched his business from his garage in Decatur, Alabama. Within a few short years, Bayless' strategic management positioned AFS to expand to a new office in Madison, Alabama. The business thrived with an expanded office and a half-acre operations yard. Bayless then expanded to the Birmingham market and then again to Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Mobile, Alabama. Bayless' business acumen later positioned AFS to expand into Columbus, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Today, Bayless counts his ability to grow his team and provide meaningful careers as his biggest accomplishment. What began as a 2-man operation in 2000 now employs over 150 professionals in an array of field, operations, sales and customer service roles.
