Welcome. My name is Maura (Clu) Gallagher. I am a self-published author from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA. I have been writing since 2007 and published my first novel at the 'young age' of sixty years. I have published three manuscripts and have made all three into a series of novels about American immigrant families. Titled, THE SCATTERED SEEDS TALES FROM THE GREAT MELTING POT, the collection is a series of stand alone, non-sequential novels suitable for young adult and adult readers but especially for those who have an interest in Literary American Historical and Cultural Fictions about American immigrant families. They are: ANEW (SOFIA'S STORY); DARBY'S ROAD; and the newly published, A MEMORY FOR MIRRY. In addition, I have published a cameo edition of my first manuscript , SHATTERED SEEDS, SOFIA'S STORY. First published in March 2011, the novel became a Quarterfinalist in its first appearance in the 2010 ABNA Competition at Amazon. Formerly a Pittsburgh Public School Art and Computer teacher, I am now retired and spend my senior years pursuing my passion, Writing. My books are available in Kindle eBooks and paper (soft back) in worldwide distribution through amazon.
