OAR of North Carolina

OAR of North Carolina is all about helping male and female ex-offenders re-enter society after they are released from prison. This in turn helps the community. Former prisoners are able to become strong and contributing members of their community helping them to avoid re-arrest. Instead of going back to prison, they get the chance they need to help improve society. We began our work in this noble endeavor after years of working in prisons, as well as government. Firsthand experience has shown that there is a critical need for a program like OAR of North Carolina. Ex-offenders, after they are released from prison, face an insurmountable mountain of challenges when they are summarily dumped back onto the streets of our community. They lack education, basic skills, and opportunity. They lack housing and face a tough job market that is stacked against them due to their criminal past. OAR of North Carolina is here to help make that mountain surmountable! We will help bolster the community by providing ex-offenders the assistance they need to re-enter society smoothly. We will help them get a job, find housing and acclimate to the community through mentoring and specifically designed assistance programs.
