The owner of Maximum Lawn Care, Max Eckhardt, didn't even have the courtesy to call that he was not going to make our appointment. He claimed he didn't have our phone number but he was provided not one but three phone numbers to call. Not only that, but he damaged our fence when he was cleared a tree limb that was fell due to a storm. Two weeks and counting, he has yet to fix the damaged portion of the fence. He also messaged me "thanks" for giving him a 2nd chance to make things right but he is declining to provide further service since he doesn't believe "the relationship between us would not be very strong." I started laughing when I read his message. He had the audacity to tell me I was slandering his business by posting reviews of my experience with him and his company. I informed him statements are not slanderous when they are true and can be proven so. Which I can since he acknowledged all my stated facts above when he "apologized" for his actions in a written format. All of the above are factual statements, not subjective judgments. The following ARE subjective judgments: This is a terrible way to conduct business. This kid needs to learn the meaning of these words: "customer service," "time management" and "logistics." The owner needs to understand the First Amendment as it relates to slander. Finally, if he is to continue being a businessman, he needs to learn how to take criticism rightly lodged for his company's mistakes.
