I make art by altering digital images. I often start with a digital photograph that I have taken, lettind the image lead me to the aesthetic space where it seems most comfortable. Sometimes this is a realistic narrative space that may resemble a painting. Sometimes it is a world of fantasy. Sometimes it is an expressive abstraction. Each image is a journey of discovery; when we begin, I seldom know where it will end. One thing all my images ave in common: they aren't exactly photos any more.
