Sydney Strausheim: Allstate Insurance

I opened my Allstate agency in 1997. My years spent representing Allstate have been wonderful, and I would highly recommend becoming an Allstate agency owner to anyone looking to open their own business. Originally from Wyoming, my family moved just east of Parker in 2006 because we were drawn to the country. I absolutely love the town of Castle Rock and the quaint downtown, it reminds me of the town I grew up in. I especially enjoy the Starlighting ceremony every year where the whole town gathers to celebrate. The agency is located in The Meadows which is a tight knit neighborhood and I attend multiple events through the year to get to know our neighbors. There are also great recreational facilities such as zip lining and the Miller Activity Complex just five minutes away.
I feel strongly about supporting the Castle Rock community. I am a member of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and belong to the Ambassador committee. As an Ambassador, I enjoy celebrating new businesses at Ribbon Cuttings, congratulating local businesses on their anniversaries, and helping showcase businesses at after hour socials. I am also an industry partner with the Denver Metro Association of Realtors Douglas Elbert District. I also volunteer for the Boys & Girls clubs of Metro Denver and the Douglas/Elbert Task Force, which has helped these great organizations qualify for Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grants.
My husband, Scott, and I have been married since 1989 and I could not have become an Allstate agency owner without his support. We have two wonderful daughters and son-in-laws, along with a grand-son and a grand-daughter. My hobbies are camping, hiking, walking the dog, and traveling, usually to see our grandchildren every chance we get. My favorite part of being an Allstate agency owner is helping customers understand their insurance coverage and being there for them when the unexpected happens. I have watched families grow, renters become homeowners, homeowners become parents and even grandparents. It is important for me to be there for customers in their time of need and letting them know that someone cares.
