Had a leak from a vent on the roof into my wall heater. Called John the following morning and he arrived that afternoon and fixed the problem. He also treated other vents on the roof that could potentially leak in the future. Very prompt, professional, and seems to have a genuine interest in the quality of his work and relationship with his clients.

John was a pleasure to work with I've worked with him two times. He is extremely responsive and remembers me which is nice! I had him work on fixing a leak on the roof and in the kitchen. He was very honest and gave me a good price. I probably could have gotten cheaper but he is licensed and knows what he's doing so I rather get the job done right the first time. I highly recommend him to others and he got the job done in one day! Definitely will be using him on future projects. I used other handy men but for real jobs I use him as I trust him more than others.

My home sustained some minor damage to the chimney and roof from the winds. I called Mr. Day, who came by with his son on the same day. They did the repairs at a reasonable price. He was honest and very responsive to all my questions. Although he did the job right the first time, Mr. Day promptly came by a second time to place a rain guard I had subsequently requested after the initial visit. I was very impressed with Mr. Day's knowledge, skills, and responsiveness. I would definitely call him again for future jobs as well as refer him to people in need of his services.

I found this contractor through Google. Sounds like they are very busy with all the roof tune up promotions that are going on for them at this time. We had our schedules mixed up in the beginning but once we got it straighten out. JLD Construction Sr. came out himself and took care of it. Luckily we have no major issues. I would recommend them.

Jonh came out to my home to repair a leak in roof... Jonh was prompt, courteous... very honest answered all question and concerns that I had. Worked with the budget that was quoted. I would highly recommend him. VERY friendly!!!

We called and John and he was able to schedule our roof repair. The quote was comparably fair and the 3 year guarantee was a plus in the decision making. Repairs were done as expected and John called back to check in with us after we had rain to make sure all was good with our roof, which it was. I would recommend JLD Construction General Contractor.

Great job! Can't thank JLD Construction any more for his honesty and help in repairing our roof problem. Bought the Groupon roof tuneup deal and got much more out of John's visit. John explained to me in detail of what the issues were with my roof. Not only that I showed him a leak we have and he fixed it for free. Who does that now a days??? Called john to do work at my office, he was the first to respond. first to quote. and arrived early to the job. When the leak persisted, he immediately came back out and found the issue to repair. no complaints, loved the service. :)

I was referred to JLD Construction by a friend. At the time there was Living Social coupon. JLD Construction and his associate came out promptly and looked over the roof very thoroughly. They were extremely helpful and honest in their assessment of the work. They did not make up work that wasn't there and were very fair on the pricing. I thought they would have to come back, but they were able to do all of the work immediately. My entire experience with JLD Construction went seamlessly and I am thrilled. They take care of the work efficiently and I am totally pleased.

Seems fair and honest through my limited dealing with him - I had a small job, John showed up for estimate and completed work same day. He and his associate completed the work themselves, both were courteous and helpful throughout. I haven't gone up to my roof to inspect the repairs yet. When I do, I'll update my review if anything looks off. Nothing negative to say at this point, only positive!

Some of the tiles on my roof became dislodged a few years ago during an earthquake and I forgot to add it to my insurance claim. Well as life keeps me busy, I neglected my roof until a few weeks ago. I found the LivingSocial deal and purchased it right away. JLD Construction Jr came out and fixed the tiles as well as another trouble spot that day for a reasonable price. The service was friendly and straight forward. I was pleased.

We have an old 100 year house with a leaking roof. John came by at about 10am for an estimate. His crew showed up right away and had the repairs done in record time. My roof was fixed by 2pm that same day. Reasonable cost and quality work. JLD Construction is the MAN!

John came to my house to "tune up" my roof. He did exactly as promised, found no problems, and told me that it was in good shape and ready for the rainy season. There was no attempt to upsell any services. His men were tidy and knowledgable. He seemed honest and honorable.

One of the good guys! John came to our home to do a simple roof tune-up. When he discovered a section of our roof was badly damaged and rusted due to shotty seals, he fixed the problem on the spot. His work is excellent, the before and after photos he showed me tell the tale. He's friendly and professional, and we'll definitely call him again in the future. Thanks John!

I just bought a living social roof inspection deal. The guy who came out was prompt, courteous, and friendly. They took care of resealing some flashings and repairing a couple tiles, and left. No attempt at an upsell, no shady dealing, just great service. I am super pleased.

I have worked with JLD Construction twice now. Both times I was happy with the quality of the work, the responsiveness and the communication between us. I was very surprised by the negative comments and expressed this to John when he came out to fix a leak on February 26, 2015. Unfortunately, he may be getting feedback that does not belong to his business. So just beware and make sure that you get the JLD Construction who has been in business for ~40 years.

The most important part for me when using a contractor, is will their response to a problem. We developed a leak from his previous work. He sent a crew out immef innately to be this current storm. My wife is in fashion and she has a keen sense of the details needed. JLD Construction was willing to work with me on the general logistics. He then turned around and worked with my wife on the aesthetics. His pricing was reasonable and he didn't nickel and dime us. In fact, he quoted us a bit based upon roofing material he had in stock, but my wife didn't like the color. Not only did he use the best quality materials, he was able to match the color that my wife wanted. Additionally, there was some water damage on the facia board. He went ahead and painted the whole facia board to make sure that the color matched instead of trying to get the color as close as possible. He went the extra mile to ensure that both my wife and I were happy. Thanks so much!!

John was honest and showed he truly care's. He didn't try to up sale or push some type of sale on me. Very straight forward about my existing issues and educated me on my options. These types of people are very few in the industry. If you need work done on your house look no further. I'm hard to please and very picky. My roof has been having some issues with leaks lately after all the rain so I gave JLD Construction a call. They gave me a very reasonable quote for the job and they came by the house the next day. I thought it was really neat that both JLD Construction Jr and Sr came to do the job together. I'm always happy to support family owned businesses. Randy called back quickly and worked with me for a time for estimate. Came home to yard looking great, had even moved and repositioned 4 sprinklers and hoses. Excellent job on edging and no trace of cuttings. Very pleased!

Mr. Day was very nice and professional. He took the time to explain what he was going to do before he began, and what exactly he afterwards. He was very approachable, so I felt comfortable asking questions; which he answered with clear explanations. He also addressed and elevated my concerns. I have worked with JLD Construction of Aneheim twice now. Both times I was happy with the quality of the work, the responsiveness and the communication between us. John was punctual, friendly, polite, and thorough in dealing with leaks and damage to our roof. Because he wanted to do the job right, he did much more than was originally agreed to but kept the price at what he had bid "because I already gave you my word to do it at that price." He and his co-worker went above and beyond to make sure that everything was fixed correctly and took preventative measures to stop future problems, all at a very fair price and all with a smile and friendly nature. We will use John Day again if needed.

Arrived on time. Very personable. Inspected roof and corrected tile alignment in two places. Found an area by chimney where tile became unlodged causing water damage to wood. Took pictures and showed me the damage. Removed section of 4'X4' of tile, installed new tar paper, sealed paper, placed tiles back. Very professional and trustworthy. Highly recommend company and would use it the future.
