It’s so hard to find moving companies that are reliable. Boxes going missing have become almost expected during every move. But that risk is really minimized when you hire Big boy moving & storage. When they delivered all my belongings to Indiana from Ohio on time and without any damage, right then I decided that I must write them a recommendation. Big boy moving & storage is not cheap by any means. But their movers work efficiently to save your hard earned cash. On top of that, they take inventory at the beginning of the move and make sure that each item arrives at the final destination. I’m not even bothering to mention how skilled and capable the movers were. I was just relieved to have received everything in great condition.

I used big boy moving & storage twice and as expected their service was first class again. I respect these guys and like their work ethic. The effort the put in every aspect of the move was just amazing. Arrived on time, straightway started working, packing was quick and good quality. Technique they applied for loading was great. They kept me updated when they were on the way to our new place. My drop off was just as great as pick up. They placed my things where I wanted them and helped me put everything back together. We moved from Miami, FL to Virginia Beach, VA very easily. All the credit goes to Big boy moving & storage for being so efficient and reliable. I knew they were going to be good when I first called them and the man on the phone went out of his way to provide me a good quote. All four movers were very strong and energetic. They didn’t waste any time while packing. Their packing skills were fantastic and they utilized the packing materials properly. Last time I hired a moving company, the movers and I didn’t quite gel and it was a disaster. This time when I was moving from PA to IL. I made a lot of calls to get an idea about which of the moving companies is really good. I hired Big boy moving & storage because of the word of mouth. The crew arrived right on time on the moving day. The foreman was a very strong and experienced man who was always ready to help with a bright smile on his face. He constantly motivated his men to work faster and more efficiently. I have a lot of stuffs. So it took the men 4 hours to get through everything. But the men didn’t demand a break or even winced once. They packed everything very creatively. I got the proof of that when everything arrived in Chicago in pristine condition. My wife swore that she would never leave Memphis. But life takes you to the strangest of places. After deciding to downsize, my wife and I decided to move to Philadelphia. We were moving on a very busy weekend and finding a moving company was like looking for needle in a hay stack. After weeks of calling, we finally secured an appointment with Big boy moving & storage. Their crew of 5 men arrived right on time on the moving day. The movers had more appointments that day and so they were very fast at the job. I imagined they would be quite tired but they showed no sign of fatigue whatsoever. They carried big pieces of furniture with ease and it took them only 3 hours to finish the whole thing. The delivery was made the next day as requested. One of my wife’s stuffed owls suffered a damaged head but everything else traveled just fine. This move would have been absolutely impossible without these guys!

I hired Big boy moving to move my belongings from Richmond, VA to Detroit, MI. I wasn’t particularly happy about having to move but I had to do it. Big boy moving & storage sent over 4 movers who were on time and got to work immediately. I had a lot of stuffs. But the movers didn’t complain about a thing. They put their heads down and packed for hours. It took them 6 hours to pack and load everything from a 5 bedroom house. I would call that very efficient. The best thing about the movers was that they were so hard working while still smiling. They were experienced and very skilled. I am thoroughly impressed seeing how professional these men were.

I don’t expect much from the moving companies as they have a reputation of over estimating themselves. I hired Big boy moving & storage for my move from Baltimore to Charleston simply because I thought their quote was low and I could save some money. But they really delivered on the promise. Their men were very well trained and superbly professional. I do own some very expensive pieces of furniture and I was worried how they were going to handle them. But I was so relieved to find them taking extra care with my key pieces. It took them 4 hours of tireless hard work to remove everything from my house and load them onto the vans. I received the delivery on time and my belongings were in very good condition. I couldn’t have asked for more.

When my boss told me that I was taking over the charge of our Portland office, I panicked thinking how was I going to move all the stuffs I have painstakingly collected over the years and start over in Oregon. When I called them, they said that they didn’t have any movers available on the requested date. But I insisted and they called me back in 10 minutes to tell me that they have somehow managed 3 movers for me. The men were so efficient and really took good care of my stuffs while packing and carrying them to the vans. Everything was done without me having to interfere. It took them 4 hours to pack up everything at my Los Angeles apartment. I received the delivery right on the schedules date as I expected. It was a move I was dreading for the amount of stuffs I had to pack and move from Sunrise, FL to Denver, CO. I was going to try to make the move on my move and hire a few vans. I am probably such a misfit among the shiny people at the NY. But hey I am from Buffalo and I have a thick skin! Good thing is that I was able to bring a piece of home with me when I moved here from Buffalo, NY. My movers were always smiling while working. And where I'm from - a smile means a lot. These guys knew their job inside and out. But they did it all while acting like humans, not trained robots. I suppose that adds certain something into their service and you don't mind paying the standard moving fees which may seem ridiculous otherwise. From the very first telephone call, the staffs from Big boy moving & storage was very professional and gracious. We arranged a survey to assess the work involved and to gain a quote. The surveyor was on time and very efficient. He went away and came back to me the next day with a very competitive price. On the day the crews arrived on agreed time, cautiously and cleanly moved all our furniture. At the other end there was a delay in collecting the keys, but they didn’t complain. Once we received the keys, they quickly moved all our goods into the house with no fuss. I would surely recommend them to anyone.

This move of mine from Jacksonville to Phoenix was a little different as it had a very special clause. You see, when I decided to move to Phoenix I had already sold my house back home and hadn't really fixed a place to stay in Phoenix. So I hired Big boy moving to do a two-part-moving where at first they take all my stuffs and store them in a hired storage vault. In part two, once I had fixed a place to stay, they bring my stuffs from the vault to Arizona. This is not your everyday moving request but Big boy moving was very flexible and happy to help in any way they can. They even suggested me where to hire the storage vault. All my belongings arrived safely at my given time after I had rented this house I'm living in now. The sun is definitely shining in Arizona today!

I was little confused when I searched the net to hire a mover. So many options!! Anyway I checked the online ratings and called 7/8 companies and asked for the quote. Only big boy moving provided an onsite estimate and asked for the best price possible. I booked with them. These guys did not let me down. The lead man arrived on time with his helpers and loaded all our belongings but before doing that they checked the boxes for the safety and made the necessary adjustments. The crews and the foreman of Big boy moving were very vibrant. They came before the given time and started moving my stuffs. They double wrapped all my furniture and loaded it after carrying it from 4th floor to the ground without any scratch. I am a man of few words. So, I am not going to stretch a lot. I used Big boy moving for a commercial move and they did terrific. These guys knew how to handle delicate stuffs and they have the techniques required for the packing and loading. The guy at the office was very helpful and responsive and the moving team was very hardworking, committed, punctual, friendly and polite. They have managed all my valuables including the art works, glass and crystal ware really well and completed the move within the given time. I received an ETA call a couple of hours before the truck showed up. The movers were skilled and careful with my furniture. They moved the pieces. They carefully carried down everything from the 3rd floor which was hard to do because of the narrow staircase.
