Dan is the owner and manager of Your Guitar Academy Cardiff. He started playing guitar at the age of 13 and instantly knew it was what he was going to do for the rest of his life. He excelled from a young age, and while at University studying Commercial Music, was awarded the departmental music prize for academic achievement. Dan left Uni with a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree and on the way had the opportunity to study under many great tutors. He studied Modern Rock guitar technique with Dudley Ross (Vigier Guitars, and G7th endorsee), studied Jazz and Fusion guitar with James Dean (Stacey Solomon, Dane Bowers) and studied Classical and Historic guitar styles under UK session great Jeff Alexander. He was also fortunate enough to participate in master-classes with some of the world’s most highly regarded guitarists, such as Christophe Godin.
