Gateaux Bakery & Cafe

Gateaux Bakery is the local French patisserie and café of Virginia Beach. Owner Joanne has been in the business of baking for 15 years. She can be found in the kitchen whip up one of her famous new creations. Previously Joanne both owned and operated a wedding cake design studio. She is a proud member of ISES (International Special Events Society) and a member of the board of advisors of the Culinary Institute of Virginia.



The bakers at the bakery come from a number of accredited culinary schools from around the country. Some of these schools include Johnson and Wales, Chicago Institute of French Pastry, and the Culinary Institute of Virginia. Each baker brings their unique abilities to the bakery making Gateaux Bakery a unique experience.



Stop by and sample our daily selections, and if you have a special event, we would love to be a part of it. We can also cater your business lunch or meeting Gateaux Bakery also offers palate pleasing cakes, tantalizing dessert trays, and even a mouth watering breakfast bundle.
